sudden, at 11pm

I miss you, suddenly.
But it is not that bold as the the first time you left.

I miss you, suddenly.
But I guess its your presence here that I miss more.

I miss you, suddenly.
But I know you can never read this.

Penang Road Trip : Day 2

Assalamualaikum and Hello.

I am sorry for the long (actually so long) pause. So lets restart.

Second day started with breakfast at the famous (maybe) Roti Canai Transfer Road (after hotel check out). I am not sure about locals, but based on my readings from blogs, this is a must-try place to eat. One of my friends said roti canai is served with seketul ayam which is big, here. It turned out to be true. Was not shocked at all upon getting our roti canai.

It was indeed seketul ayam yang besar :')

Roti canai was okay, kuah dia pekat dan pedas bakhang. Pagi lagi dah makan pedas, rabak perut bak kata Yani. Gerai dia tepi jalan, it is a simple and small stall (waze : Roti Canai Transfer Road). Boleh park kereta dekat tepi jalan berhampiran situ. Dekat situ juga ada satu gerai lain jual Roti Bakar, but we didn't try that.

After done with breakfast. we headed directly to Bukit Bendera (or you might call it as Penang Hill, waze : Bukit Bendera). The journey took about 20-30 minutes from Roti Canai stall. We arrived Bukit Bendera around 9 am, parked our car dekat parking bertingkat provided (kena bayar) dekat area situ. Masa sampai orang tak berapa ramai lagi tapi still kena naik few levels baru jumpa parking. Terus headed to ticket counter, we got special rate for the entrance. We at first paid RM20 for 2 persons because I got information the fees is RM 10 per person (for Malaysians). Tapi kakak kaunter kata we need to pay only RM6??!! At first I thought it was RM6 per person, tapi kakak tersebut kata only RM6 for 2 persons that means only RM3 per person??! Seriuslahh. Kami punya teruja tu macam menang loteri kahkah.

Sis teruja jakun semua ada dengan tren naik Bukit Bendera pasal first time guys. Serius teruja dia lain macam punya version :')

The railway

Hai owner tangan :')

Kabus dia lain macam sikit sebab sampai atas tu boleh dikira masih waktu pagi. Dah macam Cameron Highlands pun ada sikit. Dekat atas basically kami just berjalan and sightseeing sahaja tapi penat juga sebenarnya. Boleh tahan luas and menyesal pakai crocs je berjalan sini, melecet teruk kaki.

Viewing deck

Kabus tapi silau dia boleh buat gaduh
Disclaimer : Kami langsung tak pakat nak pakai tudung warna sama

Pipi pau ikat tepi 2 ya. Eh?

Jadi inilah dia Love Lock macam dekat Korea hat famous tu?

Haha.

Turun and headed directly back to Georgetown untuk beli Jeruk Madu Pak Ali pasal ada pesanan, yeayy! I bought mostly jeruk jenis campur because Abah selalu suka yang campur tu semua dia boleh rasa.

Selesai membeli-belah, we headed straight to Nasi Kandar Hameediyah Restaurant for lunch. Nasi kandar lagi, well its Penang kan? Pilih nasi putih, ayam madu, kuah campur & sayur. Kedai dia cantik, ada aircond jadinya selesa untuk makan and quite pricey. Tapi from my personal point of view, Line Clear is the winner between them both. I don't know about locals.

After lunch, we headed to Masjid Kapitan Keling (waze : Masjid Kapitan Keling) for photos sebab semalam pergi masa ada jamuan hari raya dekat situ so tak boleh nak ambil gambar. Tapi masa pergi hari kedua ni pintu pagar pulak dikunci jadinya dapat ambil gambar dari luar sahaja :')

Masjid Kapitan Keling dari luar pagar

After that, we headed to Clock Tower. Parking dekat tempat semalam masa nak masuk Fort Cornwallis. Dekat sini just ambil gambar.

Clock Tower is the white one, on the left

Bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri Pulau Pinang

Niat sebenar nak cari Penang Town Hall sebab mereka kata bangunan dia cantik tapi kami search nama yang salah. Lagi pula both buildings warna putih, confused *insert rolling eyes emoji.

Sampai Kajang around 7pm and dropped Yani dekat rumah dia.

Total costs for 2nd day are as below.

1.   Breakfast roti canai ayam : RM 6.10 + teh ais : RM 1.60
2.   Parking Bukit Bendera : RM 4
3.   Bukit Bendera entrance fees : RM 3/person
4.   Fridgde magnets & keychains dekat Bukit Bendera : RM 58
5.   Parking Fort Cornwallis (Clock Tower) : RM 2
6.   Lunch Nasi Kandar Hameediyah + air nescafe ais : RM 15
7.   Beli jeruk : RM57
8.   Parking Jeruk Madu Pak Ali : RM 1
9.   Minyak kereta (RnR Sg Perak) : RM 23
10. Tol Duta : RM 43.30
11. Tol Kajang : RM 1.30

      Total costs : RM 215.30

Penang was super good. Foods are good, especially. Going for road trip to Penang is one of my bucket lists, I guess its fulfilled for now.

I think that's all for Penang entry. Hope these 2 posts will help.

Nanti tulis lagi :)

All this while

All this while
I've been holding on to myself, the fact that I won over them.

I mean all of them.

But
If it is her,
I guess I can never win.

Never have, never will.

p/s : I miss our old days. I miss you.

chasing

Self reminder

Biarlah usaha kau capai 200 peratus, tapi kalau bukan, maka bukan.

Okay.

Fooled

I know I was so wrong that I deserve to be treated like this,
It was all my fault after all, from the very beginning.

I know that you are the one who want to walk,
Because you asked me whether or not I want this when you already know I want this more than you ever imagined.

Most of all,
I know I've been chasing you so hard that I look effortlessly pathetic.

Penang Road Trip : Day 1

Assalamualaikum and hello.

Apart from Sabah, going for road trip to Penang is one of my wishlists. I went to Penang during my second year in IIUM tapi masa tu singgah sekejap on our way back to KL from Kedah. I didnt even had the chance to properly taste how sedap Nasi Kandar Line Clear was. Hahaha.

Jadi apa? Jadi kita repeat Penang. Apart from the fact that I might kena saman at Ipoh sebab tak perasan kat situ 90 km/h sahaja, Penang road trip was sooo funnnn. We (Yani and I) went there for 2 days, last Saturday and Sunday. Mama was so worried we might not be able to make it sebab Penang kan jauh katanya. Larat ke nak drive berdua katanya. We did it :)

I started my journey from Nilai at 7 am instead of 6.15 sebab pukul 6.15 baru bangun tidur hahaha. I picked Yani up at her house at Kajang and we were together from there. We continued our journey, had our breakfast at Restoran Jejantas Sungai Buloh and continued our journey at 9 am. Drive slow je directly sampai Tol Juru, at around 12.30 pm (I will list out all the costs later, yeah). We used Penang first bridge since Yani said the second bridge is at Bayan Lepas area. Jauh sikit katanya. Headed directly to Nasi Kandar Beratur (location beside Masjid Kapitan Keling) only the get disappointed because they actually start their operation from 10 pm. Sobs.

Then, we decided to go to Nasi Kandar Line Clear instead (waze Nasi Kandar Line Clear). Pilih Nasi Putih, Kuah Campur, Ayam Goreng Rempah, Ulam Timun dan Sayur Kobis Goreng dengan Teh Ais. Kedai tak berubah pun dari 4-5 years back. Kali ni baru dapat rasa sedapnya nasi kandar dia *insert emoji air liur meleleh. Tak sempat nak ambil gambar nasi kandar sebab lapar + excited sangat nak makan. Oh ya, kami park kereta dekat tempat parking around kedai tu juga. Dekat area situ ada banyak tempat parking tapi kena bayar. Tak mahal, jangan risau.

We finished nasi kandar at around 1.30 pm, decided to go to Padang Kota Lama (waze : Padang Kota lama) or you might know it as Fort Cornwallis since hotel check in time is 3 pm. Fort Cornwallis ni macam kubu zaman perang dulu-dulu. They still keep the tugu, meriam and so on.

Fort Cornwallis entrance

One of the forts

Meriam (bukan meriam buluh tau)

There was nothing much here. Rasa macam tak worth it pun ada tapi alang-alang dah sampai Penang, so why not? Tapi public toilet dia lawa oi, siap aircond. Tapi one thing about Penang, it is so hot pheww. Maybe sebab dia dikelilingi laut kan. Bahang dia subhanallah, mata sis banyak kali sepet pasal terik sangat :')

We went straight to hotel to check in and get some rest. Yani booked Georgetown Hotel one week erarlier through booking.com but she made no payment or deposit, bayar masa check in sahaja. Room was okay, cuma toilet dia kurang memuaskan. Tapi boleh la untuk 1 night stay. Kami rehat, mandi dan solat. At 5 pm, kami keluar semula untuk isi minyak kereta (masa ni minyak kereta dah tinggal 3 bar, last fueled up masa dekat Kajang) dan terus menuju ke the famous Penang Street Art. Plan asal sebenarnya nak cari Ais Kepal (waze : Lebuh Armenia) tapi tak jadi, terus ke Street Art since it is located not far from that Ais Kepal.

We parked kereta dekat tepi jalan besar tu, buat berani je kalau kena clamp padan muka. Tapi mujurnya tidak. Alhamdulillah. We walked around here and there for about 3 km (to sum up) I think. Itu pun tak jumpa semua street art. There were so many people since it is weekend. Belum cuti sekolah or public holiday dah berebut nak bergambar dekat street art.

One of the streets

Nak dapat gambar ni kena beratur macam nak guna ATM.

Introducing my loyal travel partner :)

Owl Shop

Because it is cat. Why not?

This cat mural painting is located inside a cat shop. Well not literally a cat (pet) shop but it is a cat-based craft shop. Be it bangles, key chains, anklets, tote bags and t-shirts. All are based on cat motive.

Lepas dah penat jalan, well memang penat macam apa sebab orang ramai + sesak, terus gerak ke Pantai Batu Ferringhi (waze : Batu Ferringhi) for sunset. Walaupun tak jauh sangat tapi makan setengah jam juga nak sampai sebab jammed pasal traffic light dia berlapis-lapis bakhang. Pheww lebih kurang Melaka juga hahaha. Parking kereta dekat around situ, banyak parking spot dia provide tapi kena bayar. I was only 7 last time I went to Batu Ferrighi, while sending Abah off for Hajj. Sunset here was to die for, subhanallah.

Jatuh cinta :)

We went for a walk at Batu Ferringhi Night Market. I thought dia punya night market ada jual barang cenderahati tapi nope, sangkaan saya meleset sama sekali. Dia jual barang-barang macam kat uptown je. So we did not bought anything there, cuma jalan jalan and terus cari tempat makan. Nasi kandar tengahari tadi dah habis terbakar masa jalan kaki dekat street art. Maka lapar semula. Kami makan dekat Mady Char Kuew Teow. We ordered Char Kuew Teow special + Teh O Ais. Tapi portion dia agak kecil jadinya kurang kenyang hahaha.

Char Kuew Teow Special

This basically ends our first day of Penang trip. Below is the list of all costs for first day.

1.   Isi minyak dekat Kajang : RM 32
2.   Makan dekat Restoran Jejantas Sungai Buloh : RM 7.50
3.   Tol Jalan Duta - Juru : RM 43.30
4.   Tol Penang Bridge : RM 7 (2 hala, masuk dan keluar bayar sekali sahaja)
5.   Parking Nasi Kandar Line Clear : RM 2
6.   Lunch Nasi Kandar Line Clear : RM 11.50 (termasuk air)
7.   Parking Padang Kota Lama : RM 2
8.   Padang Kota Lama entrance fee : RM 10 (for Malaysian)
9.   Hotel : RM 99/room, RM50 per person + RM50 deposit (returned upon check out time)
10. Isi minyak dekat Penang full tank : RM 38
11. Parking Batu Ferringhi : RM 5
12. Dinner Char Kuew Teow : RM 6.50 + RM 1.50 air

We used a Perodua Bezza, for information. Memang jimat minyak. Tak, saya bukan tengah promote kereta. Cuma nak cerita pasal jimat minyak dia je, hehehe. Semua gambar diambil guna Yicam action camera + handphone camera since I did not bring my DSLR camera. Rugi.

I will continue Penang Road Trip : Day 2, soon together of remaining of Sabah entry, which I went on last April. Till then, harap membantu sedikit sebanyak. Thank you for reading :)

SABAH : Day 2

Assalamualaikum dan Hi.

We are back to the channel *ala ala berita kat tivi. This also might gonna be a long (mixed malay + english) post. Please bear with me (while I am not working today and I am so rajin).

Hari kedua mula dengan breakfast dekat hotel. Breakfast not provided together with hotel fees tapi kita boleh request dia provide dengan bayaran tambahan. Since dekat Kundasang macam susah sikit nak cari makanan, we decided to have our breakfast at hotel. Kami order 2 Nasi Goreng Kampung untuk kongsi makan 4 orang + air masing-masing for 4 persons.

Breakfast. Nasi goreng kongsi.

Begitu view dia, I jatuh cinta berkali-kali :)

Lepas breakfast, terus check out hotel and directly heading to Desa Dairy Farm tempat lembu moo moo banyak-banyak. Just waze Desa Dairy Farm and sekali lagi jalan dia berliku subhanallah. Bukit dia curam juga tapi tak securam bukit nak naik hotel Crystall Inn. Kena ready mental dan fizikal kalau nak jalan area Kundasang.

Nak masuk Desa Dairy Farm kena bayar RM5 per person. It is highly recommended to come here before 9am sebab nak dapat tengok view gunung dari sini kan. Well, dekat Kundasang ni mostly about its beautiful views, bukan begitu? Lambat, rugi. After 9am, gunung dah malu-malu nak munculkan diri. Dia dah mula berlindung sebalik kabus tebal. Hehehe.

Maafkan saya, saya silau.

My personal favourite. Masa ni gunung dah mula tertutup dengan kabus.

Aiskrim yogurt sedap. Wajib try kalau datang sini.

Lepastu kami bergerak ke Kinabalu Park. Tempat ni kita lalu kalau on the way nak ke KK kalau dari Kundasang. It will be on your right kalau dari Kundasang.

Jadi hati-hati takut dia gigit.

Starting point nak hiking Gunung Kinabalu. Maka kita acah acah nak mendaki, yeah?

Sis yang paling kiri, mata mana?

Dekat Kinabalu park mostly gambar. Nampak spot macam lawa sikit, terus park kereta dan bergambar. Hehehe. Itu sahaja untuk Kundasang. Kami skip Fish Spa & Poring Hot Spring. Dekat Poring ada canopy walkaway, so next time kalau repeat Sabah wajib pergi Poring Hot Spring :)

Lepastu kami terus bergerak ke KK semula dan terus check in hotel. Kami book Hotel De Galleria pun through booking.com for RM80/person for 2 nights stay. Lepas settle check in, terus pergi cari makan sebab masing-masing lapar kebulur, hahaha. Kami makan nasi campur. Makanan was okay, pekerja kedai were okay, harga pun affordable.

After that, we headed to Signal Hill Observatory Tower (kot) nama dia. Dekat sini boleh tengok view bandar KK dari atas tapi sebenarnya takdelah nampak the whole city pun. KK tu besar gabak. There was nothing much here.

Second personal favourite.

After that, we headed to Tanjung Aru dengan harapan nak tengok sunset tapi rasanya salah tempat (LOL) sebab kami waze Tanjung Aru First Beach and turned out bukan macam the famous Tanjung Aru yang orang selalu pergi tu. Sebab tak ramai orang pun kat situ. Huhu. Lepastu rasa macam awal sangat kot datang, matahari taknak turun lagi pun hahaha.

Atas jambatan tepi jalan. We got so many weird staring for this (insert annoyed emoji)

Atfer that, we headed to Pasar Filipino (or whatever you guys call it) since it is located not far from the location of this photo. Tapi traffic jammed sama macam KL masa ni. Lepastu nak cari parking pun satu lagi masalah. Berapa kali pusing entah baru dapat parking. Makan seafood dekat sini. we tried big lobster here sebab nak sangat rasa. Dekat sini ada tempat jual products based on pearl, ikan bilis (dan seangkatan dengannya), kerepek dan keropok macam amplang juga ada tempat makan seafood. So semuanya ada dekat sini, like 4 or maybe 5 in 1?

Semuanya dah sememeh sebab tak mandi dari pagi hahaha

Ikan terubuk masin from Sarawak pun ada jual dekat sini. Be it ikan bilis, ikan jeruk or keropok kerepek semuanya dia akan isi dalam kotak dan balut kemas. I pula takt tahan godaan dengan pearl cantik-cantik subhanallah. Walaupun bukan jenis pakai sangat benda macamtu, tetap membeli. Typical :')

Maka, itu sahaja untuk SABAH : Day 2. Nanti-nanti sambung lagi untuk Day 3 and Day 4 (last day) of us there.

Catatan sebelum:

Thank you for reading, guys.

SABAH : Day 1

Assalamualaikum and Hi

So long after the introduction (read : mukadimah) on Sabah post, yeah? I've been busy (read : lazy) to even switch this laptop on, let alone the fasting month and Raya so on. Hew. It has been two months since Sabah trip. We will write sedikit sebanyak here, yeah? This gonna be a long post, so bear with it okay?

We (me, Zalikha, Tihah and Yani) booked flight tickets around January this year, as to what I remember. We got return ticket for around RM180/person. Mahal kan? Tapi semuanya dah tak sabar nak pergi (especially me), we couldn't even wait for promo whatever. Hahaha. KUL-BKI flight was at 9 am. Breakfast McD dekat airport. Sampai sana around 12pm, owner kereta sewa dah tunggu dah walaupun kita bagitahu dia untuk kita ambil kereta pukul 1pm.

We rented a Perodua Viva for RM 270 rasanya for roughly 36 hours (3 days 3 night). Kononnya nak sewa VIVA sebab jimat kos lepastu menyesal sebab kecil sangat sebab luggage dah besar gabak setiap seorang. Lepas dah settle kereta sewa (bayar deposit RM 100, the remaining amount will need to settle masa ambil kereta), kami pergi makan dekat area bandar KK namanya D'Lengkuas. Boleh waze je nama kedai tersebut. Makanan okay, banyak pilihan and rasa boleh tahan sedap.

But we skipped this one sebab rasa tak berbaloi. Kalau dari KK, Rumah Terbalik will be at your left. Tiada bayaran masuk dikenakan.

Bawah tu sungai, jadi sila berhati-hati pegang kamera & handphone.

Lepas dah habis bergambar, teruskan perjalanan ke Kundasang. Amboi, jauhnya nak sampai. Dah masuk area Kundasang tu, hujan turun dengan lebatnya. Kabus tebal ya ampun. Please take note that jalan ke Kundasang sangatlah mencabar mental dan fizikal. Huhu.

Sampai ke Kundasang around 4pm terus pergi check in hotel. Kami book Hotel Crystall Inn, Kundasang through booking.com for RM46/night/person. Nak sampai ke hotel ni sekali lagi mencabar subhanallah. Bukit dia almost 90 degrees punya curam tambah dengan bumpy road lagi, huuu. Tapi the view was to die for I tell you. Lepas check in, terus turun semula jalan jalan kat Pekan Kundasang bawah tu untuk cari makan malam. Tapi kami jumpa KFC je seketul. Maka KFC la untuk malam tersebut.

"Macamlah dekat KL takde KFC" -bebel zuhaida pada diri sendiri.

Despite the bumpy road, this kind of view is major love.

View dari bilik kami dekat Crystall Hill. Superb (insert love emoji)

Tips : Dekat Sabah pukul 6 pagi dah cerah terang benderang (walaupun mungkin awak semua dah tahu), sila bangun seawal 5 pagi untuk dapat tengok view Gunung Kinabalu macamni. Kalau lambat nanti melepas. Rugi.

Sebab dia cepat cerah, maka malam pun mesti cepat mengantuk.

Mari doakan I will be rajin enough to continue this Sabah post for next three remaining days of us there.

Catatan sebelum:

Thank you for reading, guys.

I survived 365 days

Assalamualaikum and Hi.

So last 14th of April marks 365 days of me surviving work. I survived one year and to many more years of working here (hopefully).

Right one week after that, I went to I-really-need-this-kind-of-break kind of vacation to Sabah with friends. I have been dreaming to do this with them since forever (and I intended to write about this here since the first day I got back).

So here is the teaser photo. Lets hope I will be back here to continue writing about this.

Nanti-nanti tulis lagi more details about this trip.

Of being adult

Assalamualaikum and Hi.

I am now listening to Alessia Cara's Scars To Your Beautiful and it's Sunday, my rest day. Ye, I am working on alternate Saturdays which I will be spending most of my off Saturdays going back home. Where else would I be kan? So basically on alternate weeks, I only have one day of weekend.

Life now is good, Alhamdulillah. Work is quite good though I have to admit about the fact that I have no life. Masa belajar dulu tak ada life juga tapi sekarang lagi lah tak ada life. You wake up in the morning, go to work, being scolded (this is a must), work until 6 pm (most of the time it will extend until 8 or 9 pm), go back, sleep. You repeat the same routine until you get paid and you go pay your commitments (or easier to be said as hutang). Ha ha ha.

Tapi sampai sekarang pun masih lagi wondering macamni "eh, betul ke aku ni dah bekerja, dah make my own money" sebab rasanya baru je lagi daftar masuk UIA sebagai an engineering student. Tup tup sekarang dah bekerja dan dah rasa sendiri jerih payah mama abah bekerja cari rezeki untuk besarkan anak-anak dia. Dah kena pandai sendiri uruskan kewangan, uruskan perbelanjaan, uruskan semuanya sendiri. Rasa macam diri sendiri dah dewasa sangat.

Pernah rasa rindu nak belajar balik? Mestilah! Tipu tak rindu. I actually miss the university environment. You dont need to always be scolded (which sometimes they are not even your mistakes). You didnt hold big responsibilities macam sekarang. People dont look upon you so much. Life is hard? No. But it is quite tough.

Oh, I had my convocation ceremony last November after waited for almost one year for that. Alhamdulillah. I did want to write about this but I've always been lazy to. Hence this short post.

This post is only to make the blog alive again. Dah lama tak tulis something, hence this one. Rasa banyak benda nak tulis tapi tak tahu macam mana nak realisasikan dalam bentuk tulisan -__-

Till next one.
